GI Fire responds to multiple accidents Tuesday

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - It’s been a busy day for the the Grand Island Fire Department as they responded to multiple accidents over the lunch hour Tuesday.

Just before 11 a.m., a car hit a tree in the 1000 block of west 8th. Battalion Chief Ed Carlin said it’s believed the male driver suffered a medical incident. He was taken to the hospital.

Then just before noon, crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at Highway 281 and 13th Street. No major injuries were reported.

Not long after, GI Fire responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Diers and Faidley. One person was transported to the hospital.

And just before 12:30 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Faidley and Broadwell. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
