Habitat holds event ahead of Go Big Give
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity is one of the many nonprofits getting involved in pre-give for Go Big Give.
On Tuesday, the organization hosted a lunch fundraiser outside its office building.
The Habitat put Cactus Jack’s in front of the building for a few hours, waving cars and people passing down the street to stop and grab a bite and encourage them to give early to the Habitat.
Each donation helps them complete their mission.
Habitat’s Community Engagement Coordinator Stephanie Grossi said it is what keeps our houses going. She said every donation goes toward a new house for somebody in need.
Early giving for Go Big Give ends on May 5 with the actual day of giving on May 6.
