Crews installing new playground, pickleball court in GI

A new playground and pickleball court are being added to the Veterans Athletic Complex in Grand Island. The $400,000 project is being made possible by JBS.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - There will soon be another place for children in Grand Island to play.

Crews are working to install a new playground at the Veterans Athletic Complex. That’s over by Eagle Scout Park.

The parks department said a pickleball court is also being added. The $400,000 project is being made possible by JBS.

GI Parks and Recreation Director Todd McCoy said they hope to have it ready to use by Memorial Day weekend.

New playground donated by JBS is now going in at the Veteran's Sports Complex!!!
