HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Athletes from local D schools met at Kenesaw High School earlier today, for a chance to earn a ticket to the State Meet later this month.

In the 4 x 800 girls relay, it was neck and neck between Alma and Axtell, but Alma’s anchor was able to make a mad dash at the end to come away with the victory.

In the girls 100 meter hurdles, Axtell’s Reagan Nordhausen leaped and bounded her way to a victory in the finals, to clinch her spot at State.

In the boys 110 meter hurdles, Red Cloud’s Carson McCleary left a cloud of dust as he wins his final, and a ticket to State.

Axtell Public Schools would go on to win District for both boys and girls.
