Central Community College hosts first-ever car show
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Central Community College in Hastings hosted their first-ever car show on Saturday for alumni weekend.
There were over 100 cars on display and most of them coming from alumni.
72-year-old Lin Hoskins was the second class ever to graduate from CCC’s automotive program back in 1967. He went on to become a mechanic and owned his own shop.
Over the years he revamped several old cars bringing them back to life and he brought five of them to the car show.
“It’s a lot of fun to see the old classmates and there’s few of them around here with it being alumni weekend,” Hoskins said. “It’s amazing how many of them stayed in the car business and worked on cars and what not but a it’s a great place.”
Hoskins was also a judge at the car show. People voted for Presidents Choice and Best of Show and then the top 20 received a trophy.
