Local teams, athletes win big at Class A and D State track and field meet

Osceola boys win Class D, Kearney boys sweep 110m hurdles, and more!

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Class A and D State track meet finished up on Thursday, with several athletes and teams finding themselves on the podium.

In Class A, Kearney boys swept the 110 meter hurdles and won the 4x100 meter relay, and Kearney’s Lily Novacek won gold in the girls discus.

In Class D, Osceola boys won their second title, Fullerton’s Teagan Gonsior won the girls long jump, Central Valley won the 4x100 meter relay, and BDS’ Aaron Mick took home gold in the pole vault.

Also in Class D, Red Cloud’s Carson McCleary took home gold in the boys 300 meter hurdles and McCool Junction’s Tyler Neville won the boys 800 meter dash.
