KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Fillmore Central’s Alexander Schademann and Doniphan-Trumbull’s Ethan Smith entered Kearney Country Club this morning at +5 and four-shots back of leader Rockney Peck (Wisner-Pilger).

Smith opened with back-to-back birdies but three straight bogeys starting on the fourth hole begun a downward trend. He finished third at +16.

Schademann entered the 12th hole just two-shots behind Peck but a triple-bogey put him four-shots back and he would recover. He finished second at +11 as Peck took home the Class C state title finishing +6.

In the team race, Bishop Neumann edged out Columbus Scotus in a playoff after both teams were tied at +112 after 36-holes. Grand Island Central Catholic placed sixth with a team score of +143
