Sodbusters drop fourth-straight game to Moo

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Sodbusters lost their fourth-straight game to the red-hot Fremont Moo, 6-3. It marked the Moo’s seventh-straight win and improved their record to 7-1, while the Sodbusters fell to 2-5.

Fremont scored in the top of the first off Kearney native Ryan Koski’s RBI single. Hastings’ starter Shane Scott dialed in after, going 6.0 innings, giving up three runs and striking out eight batters.

Treyton Kozal had a nice night in the batters box for the Sodbusters going 3-5 with two runs scored. Hastings was able to tie the game in the fourth inning but the Moo scored two runs in the sixth and three runs in the seventh to go up 6-1.

Down 6-2, Hastings had a chance with the bases loaded in the eighth but only brought one-run across.

These two teams are back at it again tomorrow at Duncan Field. First pitch at 6:35 p.m.
