NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KSNB) - A week after Hastings Five Points Bank hosted the North Platte First Nationals, the Chiefs headed to Bill Wood Field for their second game of the season.

Hastings got on the board in the first inning with Justin Musgrave bunting into a fielder’s choice to score Gabe Conant. The Chiefs 1-0 lead was short lived as the First Nationals scored three-runs in the bottom of the inning to go up 3-1.

In the third, Carter Kelley’s two-RBI double extended North Platte’s lead to 5-1 and Hastings could not complete the comeback as they lost 5-3.

The Chiefs fall to 6-5 on the season. Their next game is Thursday, June 10th on the road in Columbus.
