HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It has been a rough start for the Hastings Sodbusters who entered tonight’s match-up against the red-shot Fremont Moo losers of eight of their past 10 games. Their struggles coming in large part because they have played the Moo seven times already this season.

This evening the Sodbusters flipped the script handing the Moo their first loss in 11-games, 8-7. Hastings got off to an early lead scoring two runs in the first inning off Cole Dawson’s RBI single and Tyler Monroe’s RBI groundout.

The following frame, Hastings was counted with four errors leading to five Fremont runs. The Sodbusters did not get rattled scoring five unanswered before Fremont made things tight in the ninth inning.

The Sodbusters improve to 4-9 while Moo drop to 11-2. The rubber match is tomorrow at Duncan Field. First pitch at 6:35 p.m.
