HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Sodbusters hoped to ride the momentum of a victory on Saturday night to a series win against the Western Nebraska Pioneers.

However, the Pioneers would have other ideas.

Sodbusters got on the board early in the first as a Trevor Mattson pop up was dropped in right field, scoring a ‘Buster and making it 2-0.

Western Nebraska would fight back in the top of the third inning, as a J.T Waldon triple gets things started, then a single from Kip Gronholz plates two pioneers to tie it up at 2-2.

The Pioneers would go on to win 9-4. Hastings is off tomorrow, before traveling to Fremont for two games against the Moo.
