GI police looking for suspect in pedestrian hit and run incident

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island police are looking for a suspect involved in a hit and run accident on Monday.
According to GIPD, the incident happened Monday around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Highway 281.
Police said a silver flatbed Dodge pickup was stopped at a red light but then turned right, running into a 16-year-old boy who was crossing the intersection on his bike.
Police said the vehicle stop briefly but then fled. The boy sustained minor injuries.
