Grand Island gets down big early, loses to Columbus

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Home Federal got down big early to Columbus Cornerstone as they lost their second game in as many days, 7-3.

Cornerstone scores seven-runs in the first two innings. Colin Flyr nearly had a three-run home run in the top of the 2nd put bounced off the top of the fence in right to stay in the park. He ended up on third base.

Grand Island got one run back in the bottom of the first when Braden Robinson grounded into a fielder’s choice to score Ryan Williams.

Home Federal is at Bellevue East for a doubleheader this Friday, July 2nd. First pitch for game one set for 12 p.m.
