Hastings split two games at Duncan Field

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Five Points Bank Chiefs came into Saturday’s games with Lincoln East and Lincoln North Star on the back of a 3-2 victory over Gretna Friday night.

They would waste no time as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, and the hits would keep on coming as they dominate Lincoln East 10-2.

Macrae Huyser went 3-3 with three RBIs, Braden Kalvelage was 2-3 with two RBIs, Luke Brooks was 1-2 with two RBIs, and Creigton Jacobitz goes five innings on the mound, only allowing three hits and striking out four.

In the Chiefs’ second game, Braden Kalvelage continued dominating at the plate going 2-2 with two doubles, Justin Musgrave was 1-3 with 2 RBIs, but Lincoln North Star takes the game 7-4.

The Chiefs are back in action tomorrow at 12:30 pm, when they take on Elkhorn Mt. Michael in the final game of the Kearney-Hastings tournament.
