GI Regional to require employees to be vaccinated

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Regional Medical Center has made the decision to join the more than 125 professional health associations and care systems requiring COVID-19 vaccinations.

The hospital said there are exemptions that will be approved.

All unvaccinated employees, even those with exemptions, will be required to successfully complete an education requirement. Beginning,

Beginning the week of September 7, all unvaccinated employees, even those with exemptions, must be tested for COVID-19 weekly. Continued weekly testing will be required until they are vaccinated.

All employees must be fully vaccinated by October 29, 2021 if they do not have an exemption.
