Offices in the tri-cites closed for Labor Day
KEARNEY, GRAND ISLAND, HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - State and local offices throughout the tri-cities will be closed on Labor Day. Here’s a list of some of the closures:
The City of Kearney offices, Peterson Senior Activity Center, and the Kearney Police Department Front Desk as well as the Kearney Public Library will all be closed.
City offices will return to normal hours of operation on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
The City of Hastings offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of Labor Day.
Front desk services will be unavailable at City Hall, the Hastings Police Department, Hastings Fire and Rescue, Hastings Utilities Department, Hastings Municipal Airport, Parks and Recreation Department and the Solid Waste Landfill.
The Hastings Public Library and Hastings Museum will also be closed. 911 and utility emergency services will remain available.
Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
The Grand Island City Hall, Utilities Service Center, Public Library, Public Transit Office, Street & Fleet Office and Cemetery Office will be closed in observance of Labor Day.
The Grand Island Wastewater Treatment Office, Solid Waste, Transfer Station, Yard Waste site and Landfill, and Grand Island Police Department Service Desk (please call 9-1-1 for emergencies) will also be closed, resuming normal business hours on Tuesday, September 7th.
Heartland Public Shooting Park is closed on Mondays.
Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will be open normal business hours on Labor Day.
The Grand Island Public Library will begin their new hours on Tuesday, September 7th.
All State offices will also be closed in observance of Labor Day.
