Fall temperatures to yield to warm up by end of the weekend

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Thursday will be warmer and breezy. Winds will pick up out of the south at 10 to 20 mph. Highs on Thursday will range from the upper 70s east to the upper 80s out west.

A strong cold front will pass through Thursday night into Friday morning. Behind the front, Friday will be cooler and breezy. Highs on Friday will drop down into the upper 60s north to upper 70s southwest. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. While some may see some very light rain, the chances is so small it is currently not included in the forecast. Skies will clear up Friday night as temperatures again drop into the 40s.

Beyond Friday, sunshine is expected Saturday through Tuesday. Saturday will be a very nice day with temperatures back into the upper 70s and low to mid 80s (warmest west). Sunday will be warmer with highs into the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s. Monday will continue to be quite warm in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Tuesday will be just a little cooler with highs mainly in the 80s around the area. Temperatures will continue to slowly cool down for the rest of the week, getting closer to average by the 1st of October. Dry weather should continue through next week.
