HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A few clouds will start to move in from the southwest as the day goes on Tuesday. The thickest clouds will be in the southwest. Those areas even have a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorms Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, a cold front will be moving in from the west. This will bring an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday into Wednesday night from west to east. By Wednesday night, most of Central Nebraska will likely be getting a soaking of rain and over an inch of rain will be a good possibility for many. These chances for rain will then push eastward, but how quickly the rain moves east is still a bit of a question. Because of that, we’ll keep a chance for rain going on Thursday with the greatest chance east. Highs temperatures on Wednesday will be much cooler to the west, but still quite warm to the east. They will range from the mid 60s west to the mid 80s east. Everybody will be cooler on Thursday with highs mostly in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

At least slight chances for rain will continue from Friday through Sunday. Saturday may be the best chance for the Tri-Cities area. Highs temperatures through that time will mostly be in the upper 60s and low to mid 70s. Lows will mostly be in the 50s with no threat of frost or freezing temperatures for the next couple of weeks.
