Tigers softball sweeps at Aurora triangular with win over GICC
AURORA, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings softball took on Grand Island Central Catholic at the Aurora triangular on Monday night in the Tigers final game of the afternoon.
Another hot first inning led to a 10-0 lead after some drama early on had Crusaders coach Brock Cullen heated when the umpire ruled a Hastings runner safe at third when she appeared to be thrown out.
The Tigers offense stayed hot though. Kaitlyn Laux hit the first home run of her high school career and Hastings earned a 16-1 victory to go 2-0 at the event.
