The trend of beautiful weather continues
October 5, 2021 Morning Forecast
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The weather remains quiet for today as temperatures rise quickly with plenty of sunshine. By this afternoon, highs will reach the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will only pick up a little best out of the east and southeast, maybe a little over 10 mph in our western communities. With mostly clear skies tonight (a few clouds moving into Eastern Nebraska), it won’t be quite as chilly as this morning. We’ll see low temperatures tomorrow morning dip back to between the lower 40s west and the mid 50s east. The Tri-Cities may briefly dip back into the upper 40s.
Tomorrow won’t be full blown sunshine like the last few days, but will still be mostly sunny in Central Nebraska. Eastern Nebraska will see more in the way of partly sunny skies with perhaps a few sprinkles not out of the question. There will be more sunshine farther west. Winds will be a little bit breezy in the afternoon as they increase out of the southwest at 12 to 17 mph. Looking ahead to Thursday, there will still be a few clouds, but skies will still be mostly sunny. Highs will return to the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will be breezy out of the south southeast at around 10 to 20 mph.
Friday and Saturday will be warmer days with partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs on Friday jump into the low to mid 80s. Most will still get to the 80s on Saturday, including upper 80s in Southeast Nebraska and North Central Kansas. But a cold front will start to cool down Northwest Nebraska as highs will be in the 70s there. The cold front will pass through much of our area Saturday night. There is a slight chance for rain, but the chance is not looking good right now. Sunday will be noticeably cooler with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s for most. Monday will be a bit warmer as temperatures push into the low to mid 70s. Another small chances for rain comes by Monday night.
More active weather could come for the middle of the week and a bigger cool-down could also accompany this better chance for moisture. Stay tuned to future forecasts for more.
