Grand Island Professional Firefighters to host Fundraiser event for at-risk kids
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Professional Fire Fighters is hosting a Steak Feed on October 9th, 6 p.m., at the Leiderkranz at 403 W. 1st Street in downtown Grand Island.
Tickets are $15 pre-ordered on Eventbrite and $20 at the door. This event is to raise money for winter coats for elementary kids at at-risk schools in Grand Island. This is the 9th year the Grand Island Professional Firefighters has worked with Operation Warm and local elementary schools to provide winter coats.
Each fall they have provided around 100 coats for elementary kids through money raised. For 22 years, Operation Warm has provided four million coats across the United States. Operation Warm’s mission is to provide warmth, confidence, and hope through basic need programs that connect underserved children to community resources they need to thrive.
This is the first year the Grand Island Professional Firefighters have raised money with a steak feed event.
