GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Public Library is inviting all Hall county residents to help create their library’s strategic plan.

On Tuesday, members of the board held a community conversation to give members of the community a voice in how they develop the space over the next five years.

Interested residents filled out a questionnaire and shared what changes they would like implemented.

“Physically the library is exactly where we want it to be. And now we want to make sure it has everything in it that the community needs whether it’s books, digital material access to genealogy, computers. We really want to know, now that we have this space, what do you want to see in it?” said Tanya Hansen, Board President of the Grand Island Public Library.

Hansen said so far she has seen request by residents for more adult programs such yoga classes and guest authors.
