GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Last season, Northwest softball made a nice run through the State Tournament as the #4 seed, and you can tell they’re hungry to get back and avenge their losses.

In Friday’s B-5 District Final, Wayne’s Brooklyn Kruse might have been the only bright spot for an otherwise stifled attack. She knocked through a single in Game 1.

After that, it was all Northwest. Grace Baasch sent a hard grounder up the middle and it got booted to center field by the short stop. Then later in the inning, Reyse Zobel wanted some good camera time as she launched a 2-run home run into orbit.

The Vikings rolled to an 8-0 win in game one and won game two even more convincingly, 14-0.
