GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man has been arrested on three felony charges after an incident hours earlier Tuesday.

Officers were called to a home in the 1500 block of E. 9th around 1:30 Tuesday morning.

Once on scene, the victim told police that her boyfriend had fired his 9mm pistol into the ceiling of their bedroom after she said he pointed it directly at her. It caused the victim to fear for her life.

Police found a bullet hole in the ceiling of the home.

GIPD said the boyfriend, identified as 40-year-old Billy J. Lechleitner, was arrested around 11 a.m. without incident at his job.

Lechleitner was jailed on charges of terroristic threats, unlawful discharge of a firearm and use of a weapon in the commission of a felony.
