HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Like Hastings High, the Bluehawks of St. Cecilia entered the State Softball Tournament as a #2-seed in their respective bracket, but #7-seed Kearney Catholic had other plans, as they upset St. Cecilia 6-4 in the opening round.

Carleigh Euerk, Lauren Marker and Alexis Keim all helped key the Stars upset, as they opened up a 5-0 lead before St. Cecilia started its comeback effort. However, it wasn’t enough as the Stars held on for the 6-4 win.
