HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - For those looking for something to do over the Halloween weekend, there are some spooky events planned at Hastings Museum.

The weekend started early with the ‘Dead Things’ tour on Thursday where staff guided guests through some of their more horrific collections. In addition to the tour, there were Halloween movies for both kids and adults.

“We’ve got something for everyone for this Halloween season, so we’re tickled,” said Becky Tideman, marketing director for the museum. “The 1995 film, Casper with Bill Pullman, that’s coming on Friday night and a Saturday matinee so, if you want to do something kind of fun and spooky with the kids.”

The museum marketing director says they continue to offer these events each October for a reason.

“There’s people who, it’s just their favorite thing, they come back every year because it’s just a great way to get into the kind of Halloween spirit,” she said.

The Dead Things tour is going on again Saturday evening and the films were planned to be shown at various times throughout the weekend.
