Seven ejected in Tri-City Storm victory over Waterloo
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Tri-City Storm hosted their second game in as many days against the Waterloo Black Hawks on Saturday night. Just a day after achieving a 6-2 victory, the men of Kearney were looking for similar success again.
The scoring came early and often for the Storm, who put up five goals and limited the Black Hawks to just one in their third victory over that program this season.
But, the story of the game revolved around the seemingly bad blood brewing between the two teams. A full blown fight broke out during the game and by the time the buzzer sounded signaling the end of the third period, seven total players had been ejected. Five Black Hawks and two Storm players were hit with automatic ejections in the game.
