HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - After falling in the C-1 championship game in 2021, the Hawkettes of Hastings St. Cecilia are moving back down to C-2, and look ready to dominate the class once again.

Returning all but one starter, including superstar Bailey Kissinger, the Hawkettes are ready to fly.

“We want to have a team that our fans and our parents that we can be proud of,” said head coach Greg Berndt. “Our girls have always done it right outside of school, in the classroom, and they play extremely hard on the floor together as a group. That’s exactly what I want as a coach, and they do a great job of exhibiting that.”

“We do a really good job of playing with each other,” said senior Bailey Kissinger. “We’re all excited and we’re ready to go have a great year especially coming off of last year. We’re really motivated and ready to get after it and win games”
