GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Law enforcement agencies in Grand Island ate fried chicken and chatted with seniors at the Grand Generation Center on Thursday.

Grand Island Police Chief Robert Falldorf said it’s important to get out in the community to get input and to learn ways they can improve.

They talked about how they work together, especially now that they’re short staffed due to the pandemic.

“It works out well,’ Falldorf. “We have a lot of interlocal agreements together too that allows us to share resources, to share equipment that really helps us out on our investigations as well.”

Representatives from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the Grand Island Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol were there. Afterwards, they sat down and enjoyed some fried chicken with the seniors for lunch.
