GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island City Council approved a plan to temporarily rezone Fonner Park for Case IH Grand Island to use the cattle barn for manufacturing purposes.

Case IH needs the space at Fonner Park to put missing parts into combines that have appeared to sit lifeless on the Case’s plant grounds.

Fonner Park is currently zoned for business purposes, but for Case to use any part for manufacturing they need to have a temporarily rezone for manufacturing purposes.

The plan is to bring the combines into the cattle barn at Fonner Park and put in the missing parts, and get them ready for sale.

With the plan approved it will now go to the Grand Island Fire Marshal for final approval of safety.
