Hastings Museum welcomes businesses and organizations to participate in annual ‘Festival of Trees’
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Museum is full of Christmas trees, and its all for organizations and businesses to showcase themselves. The museum invited those organizations and businesses in the community to bring out a Christmas tree and decorate it to their liking, for the museum’s annual ‘Festival of Trees.’
This year they are not lacking for trees, with around 40 trees scattered throughout the facility. The Museum’s Director of Marketing Becky Tideman said the event isn’t any sort of competition to see who has the best decorations.
“Each of these trees, like I said, functions as a mini exhibit. You can learn about these groups by looking at the ornaments, what they decided to put on them,” Tideman said. “Just another kind of great connection to the community to bring them here with us during the holidays that we just love every year.”
Tideman added, the Festival of Trees had been a tradition for the museum for more than 30 years.
