HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - We turn the calendar over to the month of December, but at least for the start for the start of the month if sure won’t feel like Santa’s arrival may be looming around the corner. Temperatures over the next couple of days area will be well warmer than normal. Thursday we could see some records tumble, as projected highs soar in the lower 70s with many of the records across the region listed in the upper 60s.

Evening clouds tonight will begin to clear out before sunrise leaving sunshine and westerly winds in place to push Wednesday’s high temperatures into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

The end of the week brings a northerly wind flow and an upper trough that will bring cooler temperatures but still no rain. It has been 17 days since we’ve seen measurable rainfall. The potential is there for some precipitation early to the middle part of next week.
