Police investigate reported stabbing in GI
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Police were on the scene of a reported stabbing Friday morning in Grand Island.
Grand Island police Captain Jim Duering said that a woman in her 40s reported the stabbing around 11 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Elm Street.
The victim had a knife wound to the abdomen and was taken to CHI Health St. Francis hospital. Police said she was conscious and able to talk to investigators.
She told police she opened the door to her home and an unknown man stabbed her with a knife.
The woman described the suspect as a man with dark hair wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and was about 5′ 10″ tall.
