HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Pine Patch Christmas Tree Farm in Hastings is already sold out, after a big post Thanksgiving opening weekend.

The operator of the farm says, the supply chain for Christmas trees is weaker than it has been in past years, but he says its not due to the pandemic.

Its actually in large part because of the recession of 2008. He also says in spite of not having as many trees as he would like. He’s happy to give some people Christmas joy.

“Reception has been has been an absolutely wonderful start a total high record high weekend from the Friday Saturday Sunday after Thanksgiving, so record high weekend,” Pine Patch operator Joe Kindig said. “Great crop this year again. All around from our precut trees, all the way up to our Sydney Michigan trees.”

Kindig also said the freshness of pine patch is their biggest advantage, but he also says even though it looks like trees are on their property, those trees are growing for coming years.
