GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Jolly Old Saint Nick paid a visit to the Grand Island Public Library on Sunday.

Families were able to come to the library and have their pictures taken with Santa and Missus Claus free of charge.

Afterwards, they had the chance to make Santa masks, and families could take a Christmas story walk through of the library.

People who attended where asked to register online to help make sure people could socially distance from one another.

“Well this is my first Santa program ever, I’m pretty new to the library this year so I am really just excited to be part of a beloved annual tradition that we are able to bring back in person this year,” Librarian Laura Fentress said. “Well we just wanted to create an event where families could come to the library and experience some Christmas cheer in person which which we haven’t had for a couple years. We are very happy to be able to bring this back.”

Last year this event was held virtually due to COVID-19.
