GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Northwest Superintendent Dr. Jeff Edwards will continue in his role as leader of the district after the school board voted to approve his contract during Monday night’s meeting.
The annual salary for the upcoming 2022-23 contract year will be $186,304. The contract that was approved by the board will be for the next two school years.
Edwards is in his third year as superintendent.
When asked about some highlights, he said one of the big things is working with a relatively young board. He said of the six elected positions, three are finishing up their first term and three are in their first term. He said they came in with a lot of energy and are excited about how schools work and what’s best for the kids and the district.
