Kearney Police to hold recruitment open house
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Kearney Police Department is holding a recruitment open house next week at the Kearney/Buffalo County Law Enforcement Center.
The open house/facility tour will take place Wednesday, February 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.
This event is an opportunity for eligible police officer candidates interested in learning more about a career with KPD.
Eligible candidates will be greeted by the Chief of Police and members of the KPD recruiting team, before beginning a comprehensive tour of the Law Enforcement Center. Concluding the tour all candidates can expect to visit with members from; Uniform Patrol Bureau, Special Services Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau, both the Forensic and Digital Crime Labs, Field Training Officers, SWAT/ESU Team Operators and Command Staff. A mask or face covering will be required during the tour.
This is not a public event, interested participates must register in advance HERE.
KPD is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer Recruit and/or Lateral Police Officer. Participants will have an opportunity to apply at the conclusion of the tour if they wish, applications close on February 10, 2022.
