Rosters for 2022 Nebraska Shrine Bowl announced
LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - Roster selections for the 64th annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl were announced on Sunday.
In total, 14 players from the greater Tri-City area were chosen, with seven athletes split between the North and South teams.
The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska is the state’s premier high school all-star sports event. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that produces annual events and related activities to raise funds and awareness to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. Since its inception in 1958, the Nebraska Shrine Bowl has annually donated more than $2M to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a healthcare system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to the age of 18 are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.
The 64th Annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl will be played Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Kearney, Nebraska, at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska—Kearney.
