The Easter Bunny promoting childhood eye health in Hastings
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Easter Bunny paid the city of Hastings a visit on Friday, and the visit highlighted the need for proper eye care.
The eye care professionals brought the big bunny in to raise awareness for parents to have their children’s eyesight checked, and of course, the holiday hare had its own eyes checked and doctors say it had 20-20 eyesight.
Shopko’s general manager gave some advice on kids’ eye exams.
A kid’s eye exam is pretty important one thing parents need to know is when you get that not from your preschool or when they are starting kindergarten that says they need to have an eye exam all lot of times when they’re four or five can be done at the doctor’s office,” Stephanie Buller said. “Then when they get a little bit older six, seven, eight and they’re able to sit down and recognize letters that’s the perfect time for them to come into us.”
The Easter Bunny also picked up some shades for the summer at his check-up.
