KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Hard work and dedication has paid off for Kearney Catholics track and field star sophomore Margaret Haarberg.

It is the second time this season she has tied her personal record of 5 foot 5 inches in the girls high jump.

“It’s awesome because I have been clean with all my jumps,” Haarberg told Local4 sports. “My only misses were on a jump of 5-foot-7, but it felt great, just to know I can get that still and shows that I can go even farther if I need to.”

As for achieving such success, Haarberg has quite the workout routine.

“I always start with the backends over the bars, jumping, getting the knee drives in, all of this just contributes to the one jump you take at the meets and it all works together,” Haarberg said.
