Hastings College to host commencement on Saturday

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The 136th Hastings College Commencement is scheduled to take place this weekend.

It is set for Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Lynn Farrell Arena (800 E. 12th St.) on campus.

During the ceremony, the College will award undergraduate degrees to approximately 175 students, and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees to seven students.

Holey Bosley, a biology and psychology major from Colorado, has been selected as the student speaker. She played on the women’s soccer team and is a member of the Beta Beta Beta biology honorary and Alpha Chi, and was named to the college’s Who’s Who list at Honors Convocation this spring.

A dean’s list student, Bosley was also a resident assistant, co-founder of Hope120, campus tour guide and a Homecoming silver court selection. She has accepted a position with the Hastings College Human Performance team as a GA after three years as an intern.

Parking is at the Osborne Family Sports Complex lot in front of Lynn Farrell Arena. Overflow parking is on the east side of the Stadium (map).

Handicap parking is in the first rows nearest the Arena. There are several seating locations that accommodate different needs; please see a staff member for assistance.
