HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - We’re ordering up some great weather on Saturday but the weekend will not completly be rainfree. Saturday will be sunny and mild, even with a weak cold front dropping through the state. That will shift our wind from west to a more northwesterly direction, but temperatures should still push into the lower 80s over south central and eastern areas with mid to upper 70s in the north and west. The front should be fairly unnoticable but we can’t completely rule out a possible pop up thundershower near the Kansas border.

The weather will stay pleasant for your Saturday evening plans but while you sleep, an upper level disturbance will trigger some scattered showers and thundestorms during the late overnight hours which could carry over into Sunday morning. There is a marginal risk that one or two of these storm could stengthen enough to produce some larger hail, but the threat shouldn’t be widespread.

Morning showers and thundershowers on Sunday will move east by the forenoon or early afternoon hours, allowing clouds to break for some afternoon sun. It will be a bit cooler on Sunday with highs staying in the low to mid 70s, with some upper 70s in the southwest.

Monday will be another mild day with sunshine during the day enabling temperatures to push into the low 80s. A series of disturbances next week, promote at least a chance for mainly evening thunderstorms with the exception of Tuesday, which is the favored day for better rainfall across the dayparts. Temperatures will cool into the 70s Tuesday and Wednesday, but shoot back into the 80s through Friday.
