OMAHA, Neb. (KSNB) - All of the 2022 State track and field champions have been crowned for Classes A and B. As attentions turn toward Classes C and D on Thursday and Friday, Local4 is reflecting on which area athletes took home gold medals in the first two days.

In the Class B boys triple jump on Monday, Aurora’s Carsen Staehr won the gold medal in a tiebreaker with McCook’s Adam Dugger with a jump of 46′6″.

“I’ve been dreaming about this all year because making it down here last year and missing out on a medal by one spot — first place, that’s the best I could have hoped for,” Staehr said. “I mean, I’m just speechless. I’m still just kind of starstruck.”
