OMAHA, Neb. (KSNB) - All of the 2022 State track and field champions have been crowned for Classes A and B. As attentions turn toward Classes C and D on Thursday and Friday, Local4 is reflecting on which area athletes took home gold medals in the first two days.
Lexington’s Ian Salazar-Molina won gold medals in both the Class B boys 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter races with times of 4:26.77 and 9:36.81, respectively.
“It feels amazing knowing I can represent Lexington well, knowing that I’m bringing a good name to Lexington,” Salazar-Molina said. “It feels amazing and it’s an awesome experience. I know there’s people there to push me and I’m there to push some people too.”
