Snapchat recording of burglary leads to arrest
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Snapchat video showing a burglary in Grand Island has led to the arrest of one, charges being referred to another and a citation for a third.
According to Grand Island Police, the burglary happened in the 1100 block of South Greenwich Street in which the suspects entered through a locked back door and stole a PlayStation 4 with accessories and a set of Beats earbuds. The items estimated value at around $700.
Police said the suspects shared a Snapchat video with the victim of them inside the victim’s home.
Abraham Clemente Gonzalez and two juveniles were identified as the suspects and were contacted near the 200 block of S. Oak.
Police said Gonzalez admitted to entering and taking the items as revenge. He claims the victim stole items of his.
GIPD also located marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle belonging to one juvenile.
Abraham Clemente Gonzalez was arrested for Burglary. One 17-year-old male was referred for trespassing, possession of more than one ounce, less than a pound of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The other 17-year-old was cited for trespassing.
