GICC boys track and field team claims first in Top 5 Plays

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Another action packed week of local sports has passed on by, which mean its time for another edition of Local4′s Top 5 Plays.

5. Carter Nelson of Ainsworth jumps to first place in the boys Class C high jump with six feet ten inches.

4. Ella Gardner from Superior wins in the Class C triple jump landing an impressive thirty seven feet three and a quarter jump.

3. Tony Berger from Riverside claims another gold medal at Burke Stadium with a first place finish in the Class D boys long jump with a jump of twenty-one feet six and two quarter inches.

2. Carli Bailey from Ansley Litchfield makes the top of the podium receiving first in the Class D girls 400 meter dash and first in the three- hundred meter hurdles.

1. Claiming the top spot is the GICC boys team who got their long awaited and much deserved first place finish being this year’s 2022 State Track and Field Champions.
