Championship Sunday for the Nebraska High School Finals Rodeo
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Today concluded the Nebraska High School Finals Rodeo over at the Adams County Fairgrounds with some cowboys and cowgirls advancing to Nationals and some, being crowned State Champion.
First up with Makayla Wray of Ord, she had a successful weekend earning herself two State Champion titles, claiming first in the Pole Bending and the Breakaway Roping.
The freshman out of Grand Island, Reagan McIntyre also qualified for Nationals in Pole Bending. McIntyre also claimed the Girls All-Around title and will head to Gillette, Wyoming to compete in Goat Tying and Breakaway Roping.
Arcadia’s Taci Flinn made the cut for Nationals and will compete in the Barrel Racing.
Speaking of contestants from Arcadia, Cooper Kursave held on for those eight seconds in the Short Go to grab hold of that State Champion Title.
July 17th through the 23rd kicks off the National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette, Wyoming .
