4-H Shooting Sports Championship kicked off at Fonner Park

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship kicked off day one of events at Fonner Park on Wednesday.

From archery, to air pistol and air rifle shooting, the seven hundred competitors in this weeks event have put in the long hours of practice to get here.

These competitors aren’t here to just place first in their respected events, they are here to make lasting friendships. Doing your best, having fun and building a strong work ethic is key to their success.

Day two of the competition starts tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
