Nebraska Cancer Specialists opening another location in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Nebraska Cancer Specialists (NCS) will be opening a new clinic on the second floor of the Grand Island Medical Center on August 1st. This will be the second NCS location in Grand Island, with the other currently at CHI Health St. Francis.
“We decided to open up a second location in Grand Island here at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center to give out patients more flexibility about where they can come to see us and receive our full services,” said Dr. David Crockett, Nebraska Cancer Specialist Oncologist.
Cancer impacts many Nebraskans and this location will be able to treat all types of cancer, with a full spectrum of care options like chemotherapy, laboratory services, and nutritional needs.
Patients can also enroll in clinical trials with state-of-the-art equipment to help them fight cancer.
“Often times there are needs for patients receiving treatment for their cancer that can be best supported with a multidisciplinary team including a nutritionist that can advise people on how to best fight against their cancer,” said Dr. Crockett.
For some, the new location provides easier access to doctors, and for others, the Grand Island Regional location suits their preferences when it comes to medical care.
“Grand Island Regional, from its inception, has been all about giving patients in Grand Island and its surrounding areas choices on where they can go,” stated Dr. Crockett. “We felt like we wanted to be part of that and offer our services here at the Regional Center.”
The new cancer center is located at 3563 Prairieview Street, Suite 240 Grand Island, Nebraska.
