Persistent dry, warm weather
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - We continue to be locked into a stagnant weather pattern as an upper level high pressure ridge builds into Central Colorado. Temperatures Wednesday will respond in kind by climbing into the lower 90s central and east with mid to upper 90s with a few 100s in the far west.
Through Thursday and Friday the triple digit temperatures will gradually expand to the east while central and eastern area will remain in the low to mid 90s.
By the weekend the ridge will build a little farther east and park itself at the Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska border. The hot weather will spike into the mid to 90s in the Local 4 area with more widespread 100s in the drier areas just to the southwest of the Tri-Cities. Rainfall will be sparse with this current pattern through the next 7 days. Only modest rainfall will be possible and only in the far west and northern areas.
